Module: Masonry – substarte modeling
Masonry is a non-uniform multi-layer material, consisting of blocks of base material and mortar.
Among the basic materials, we can distinguish:
- Solid blocks
- Hollow blocks
- Light-weight concrete blocks
- AAC blocks
As a rule, the base material has a higher compressive strength than the joint, so it is a good practise to anchor the fasteners in the base material.
Particular attention should also be paid to the dimensions of the blocks and the parameters of the joints.
