Rawlplug products are also used in the renovation of historic buildings such as Glasgow City Council impresive building in which Rawlplug’s R-KEMII polyester resin was used.

For the tests, which started in January 2020, and were also successfully completed, were used the Rawlplug R-KEMII bonded anchor with M12x160 A4 threaded rods. The professional technical support provided has allowed our products to be used by a contractor renowned on the Scottish market – Saucer Solutions Ltd. The resin and the rods were fixed in the sandstone used to erect the giant building in the Beaux-Arts style.

The beauty and sheer size of the City Chambers have drawn the interest of filmmakers quite a few times: the building was used in the set design of some films made in the 1980s, such as “An Englishman Abroad” and “Heavenly Pursuits”, and more recently also in the TV series “Outlander”.
