Swiss Tower in Dubai – 45,000 Rawlplug anchors in the glass façade of the skyscraper
Swiss Tower is a 40-story skyscraper located in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers Free Zone (JLT) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The 161-meter (527-foot) tall building was completed in 2009 and is part of a complex consisting of 80 high-rise buildings situated along the shores of three artificial lakes.
Swiss inspiration in the heart of Dubai
Swiss Tower stands out with its unique design inspired by Alpine landscapes. The building’s façade reflects picturesque green meadows and majestic peaks, creating a remarkable visual effect. Inside, the office space combines elegance with functionality, offering modern amenities and panoramic views of the surrounding JLT lakes.
Rawlplug anchors in façade research and installation
Rawlplug played a key role in the anchoring process of Swiss Tower’s glass façade. Initial studies were conducted to determine optimal mounting solutions, followed by the delivery of 45,000 stainless steel R-SPT-A4 10 x 115 anchors (predecessor of R-HPTII-A4). Additionally, throughout the 12-month contract period, Rawlplug carried out ongoing anchor testing up to the 40th floor, continuously monitoring the quality and strength of the applied solutions.
