Flagship Rawlplug products used in the construction of Tandem Office Building in Romania

The construction of Tandem Office Building, a nine-story office complex with three underground levels, located in Bucharest, was completed in 2023. Rawlplug joined a group of expert companies responsible for delivering this project.

A new architectural symbol of Bucharest

This modern office building, designed to meet the highest industry standards, offers 35,000 m² of office space. It was developed with a strong focus on eco-friendly and energy-efficient solutions, earning the BREEAM Outstanding certification as a facility that adheres to the principles of sustainable and ecological construction.

An environmentally friendly project

The Tandem Office Building was designed with sustainability in mind, integrating numerous eco-conscious solutions that contributed to its BREEAM Outstanding certification. Key features of the project include:

1. Energy efficiency – The building is equipped with an intelligent building management system (BMS) that monitors and optimizes energy consumption. Additionally, energy-saving LED lighting and automated lighting and ventilation control systems were implemented.
2. Air quality management – A heat recovery ventilation system significantly improves energy efficiency by reducing heat loss while maintaining high indoor air quality.
3. Eco-friendly materials – Certified building materials were used to minimize heat loss and reduce the environmental impact of the construction process.
4. Green mobility – The project promotes sustainable transportation by providing EV charging stations and bicycle-friendly amenities, including dedicated bike parking.
5. Water management – Efficient water-saving systems were introduced, optimizing consumption in common areas and restrooms.

Rawlplug continues to support innovative construction

R-KEX-II epoxy chemical anchor – Used for securing the foundation to the formed walls. R-KER-II hybrid chemical anchor – Applied in parking ramp anchoring and masonry structure connections.
