Approved surfaces
Wear protective gloves. The substrate should be free from dust, dirt, lime, and grease. If the surface of the wall is dirty, it should be primed before proceeding.
Before applying adhesive to the polystyrene board, it is necessary to install the starter strip.
Before use, make sure that the can has a positive temperature (optimal +20°C). Application temperature from +5°C to +30°C.
Shake the can vigorously (approx. 30 seconds) to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
Screw the gun to the can. The working position during assembly should be the "upside down" position of the can.
When gluing polystyrene to facades, apply Styrofix with a braid with a diameter of approx. 3 cm to the perimeter of the polystyrene board, keeping a distance from its edge of approx. 2 cm and one strip along the center of the board.
When gluing extruded polystyrene (XPS) on foundations, apply Styrofix across the board in 4 vertical braids with a diameter of approx. 3 cm, maintaining equal spacing of 20-30 cm between the strips, leave a distance of 3 cm from the edge of the board. For boards with a width of more than 100 cm, apply more adhesive braids to the board.
From the application of Styrofix on the board to the application of the board to the facade or foundation, wait max. 5 minutes.
After gluing the board, correct the setting using a mounting patch. Correction of the board arrangement is possible only up to 10 minutes. from the moment of sticking the plate. In case of detachment of the boards from the surface, apply Styrofix again. Use additional supports in the corners until the adhesive sets, approx. 10-15 minutes.
After 2 hours the boards are ready for further processing: sand with sandpaper and additionally fasten with mechanical fasteners.
Gaps and joints between glued boards should be filled with glue.
Remove excess adhesive by mechanical means (e.g. with a knife). When removing the gun from the can, clean the nozzle and the gun (outside and inside) with a cleaner.
