A key feature of our calculation program EasyFix 4 is continuous development. In its latest version 4.10.12, we would like to draw your attention to two new features: the expansion of the design possibilities in the Rebar module, Wind calculations and Roads and bridges modules.

The EasyFix 4.10.12 update brings two new features: expansion of design possibilities in the Rebar module (deep anchoring system – bonded anchors) and the ability to build your own database in the modules of the Wind calculations and Roads and bridges categories.

S&T (Strut & Tie) – Post-installed rebar category: Rebar module

The introduction of the new design method S&T (Strut & Tie) significantly expands the design possibilities when analyzing the issues of bonded rebars in reinforced concrete structures. The previous solution was limited by the need to create overlap splice connections with the existing reinforcement in the structure. In many cases, due to the geometry of the elements to be joined, the type of load (or lack of data), this condition turned out to be crucial and prevented the correct calculation.

S&T's new approach makes it possible to design connections for a much wider range of use cases. The program automatically, with an appropriate info, suggests the need to use the S&T method for selected cases. The method can be successfully used in the design of starter bars, in particular the connections of the slab/beam to the wall and the wall/column to the foundation – wherever there is a bending moment load.

Building your own database

The functionality consisting in the possibility of building your own database applies to trapezoidal sheets, sandwich panels, road barriers in the Wind calculations and Roads and bridges modules.

Calculation modules related to the fastening of trapezoidal sheets, sandwich panels and road barriers contain a number of predefined types of the above-mentioned elements. The user can already choose an item from the list of the most popular manufacturers.

However, given the global reach of the program, the new feature allows you to create your own database, including local products. The designer can define his own most frequently used cross-sections in a simple, intuitive way, save them on a list and return to them for subsequent projects. A database personalized in this way speeds up work, eliminating unnecessary repetitive tasks.

Software for designers – use for free

The program is invariably available free of charge on the easyfix.rawlplug.com website https://easyfix.rawlplug.com/. On the https://easyfix.rawlplug.com/blog/ you will also find helpful tutorials to help you learn more about the capabilities of the software. The support for designers is complemented by our extensive library of Rawlplug's BIM models and drawings - https://bim.rawlplug.com/.
