Renewable energy. Charging station next to Rawlplug Wrocław
Our electric car has already been recharging batteries there. But this is just the beginning, since the equipment installed in Kwidzyńska street will also serve our visitors, customers, and employees.
It is to be found next to Rawlplug’s headquarters, right outside the gate, near the reception. It is easily discernible by its discreet elegance and distinctive marking of the adjacent parking spot. As inconspicuous as it appears, it hides power which it gladly shares. The electric vehicle charging station in question has been running for a few days now, and it truly excels. Once the commissioning tests are complete, it will become available to everyone: not only the employees of Rawlplug Wrocław, but also those visiting our company.
Specifics? The charger has an output of 22 kW. Our company car, which consumes 7 kW per hour, is fully charged in 7 hours (charging time depends on the car model, of course), and its range in summer is about 350 kilometers.
We couldn’t be any happier of the charging station in Kwidzyńska street, especially since it is partly powered by our PV systems (we use the station only during the day, relying on the panels). It represents an important element of Rawlplug’s broad scale policy of energy generation and management based on renewable sources.
One of the priorities of our plan to ensure sustainability and carbon footprint minimisation over the next couple of years is installing a complete system of batteries in Wrocław, and this will include a genuinely innovative, patented ice battery, enabling energy accumulation. Do you want to know about the project? Keep your vigilance, and look out for more details coming soon.
