SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

Impressive in every aspect, and the first of its kind in the region, the project has been completed on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, near Yas Mall and Ferrari World. Spanning several levels and a total area of 183,000 m2, the park features giant indoor aquariums holding habitats and entire ecosystems filled with deep-sea specimens from all over the world, dwelling in conditions as close to natural as possible.

Significantly enough, Abu Dhabi’s SeaWorld is the first such facility in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region which has received the Global Humane certificate, employing a team of more than 100 veterinarians and scientists who take care of the welfare of the animals 24 hours a day, enabling those who visit the park to watch the personnel at work. The complex also holds the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue centre, the first in the Emirates to study sea creatures and address the problems of their rescue, rehabilitation, and return to wild life in a comprehensive manner.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is another impressive project completed with Rawlplug’s contribution. The contractors relied on our solutions when installing supports and barriers (using the R-LX ZF mechanical anchors), the signage across the entire park (mechanical and chemical anchors: R-KEXII/R-KERII/KEMII, R-XPTII A4, R-DCA, and the R-STUDS threaded rods), brackets for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems (the R-HPTII ZF/A4, R-DCA A4, and R-KEMII anchors along with the R-STUD A4 rods), as well as when fixing glass reinforced plastic (GRP) ladders and grates (R-KERII, R-KEMII, and R-STUDS A4) and installing GRC facades (the R-KERII with the A4 threaded rods).
