Rawlplug helps Helpo. New school for children in Mozambique
The idea came from Rawlplug Portugal. Companies from Spain and Switzerland as well as Rawlplug's headquarters in Poland joined the campaign. The effects of the unique cooperation with the Helpo organization are coming soon.
The Portuguese Helpo is a non-governmental and apolitical charity. It has been operating since 2008 and focuses on the development of African communities living in poverty through education. It also provides nutrition, takes care of the health of mothers and children (currently it has nearly 150 thousand of them under its care), and provides humanitarian aid.
Helpo operates in over 100 areas affected by hunger, plagued by local conflicts, cut off from the basic goods of civilization. The main goals of the organization are the construction of schools, kindergartens, canteens and rainwater collection systems, often in habitats several hundred kilometers away from the nearest asphalt roads.
Helpo finances its activities through a children's sponsorship programme, donations and projects carried out jointly with large international companies – such as Rawlplug, which was invited to participate in one of the campaigns this year.
Adoption at a distance
However, the roots of Rawlplug's cooperation with the charity go back further.

The relationship initiated then continues to this day back in 2016. As a result, the Cavadas family "adopted" a peer of Jose's children and regularly co-financed, among other things, the nutrition and education of Gabriela, a 7 year old girl from North Mozambique.
Needs? Huge. But you have to start somewhere
This year, for the first time, Jose had the opportunity to travel to front line with Helpo to Africa - Mozambique and see with his own eyes what the work of activists looks like.

The visit was also a chance for the first meeting with the ward of the Jose family and her parents.

We can change people's lives for the better. Rawlplug answered the Call
On the spot, it turned out that Helpo was looking for partners to build a school in the area. Jose reacted immediately. The necessary funds were raised immediately thanks to the involvement of Rawlplug's Head Office in Poland and companies in Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. The school will be established later this year, and classes will start at the beginning of February.
