Rawlplug conquers Vienna with innovations

EURO-MAT is a prestigious network of independent builders merchants and suppliers. During the event organised in Vienna under its aegis, a whole day was dedicated to innovations driving the industry. All exhibitors participating in the trade show had the opportunity to showcase selected products from their offering, and the brief presentations were evaluated by EURO-MAT judges, rating them on a scale of 1 to 10.

Rawlplug focused on the idea of minimising adverse environmental impact, and chose to follow the thermal insulation trends for the reduction of the consumption of natural resources. In Vienna, in this context, we showed off three innovative products and one flagship service, as described below:

• Timber UNO, a universal plug consisting of 70% wood sawdust (a technology enabling reuse of raw materials of natural origin in the construction industry, fully biodegradable packaging);
• R-GOKII with a reinforced plate and the screw fully inserted inside the sleeve on a guide (quick installation of the fastener in the substrate – up to 1 second per point, 30% higher efficiency, perfect compatibility with Rawlplug’s top quality power tools and accessories, support as part of the innovative fixing design module in the EASY FIX application);
• R-TFIX-8M, a universal facade fixing for all substrates (thermal transmittance reduced to 0.001 W/K, reinforced plastic driving element, nail inside the sleeve, excellent insulation, energy efficiency, guarantee of safe load-carrying capacities even when installed by less experienced persons, support as part of the innovative fixing design module in the EASY FIX application);
• EASY FIX, the only free of charge calculation module for designing for roof and facade insulation fixing technology (intuitive to use, with ensured manufacturer’s warranty and access to a technical help desk)

The four items selected by Rawlplug proved to be spot on. We obtained the highest score in the vote by the participating exhibitors, which allowed Rawlplug to qualify among the top five innovators of the Vienna EURO-MAT Forum. The nomination allowed us to showcase our products and services in a special presentation for all participants of the prestigious international event. In the jury vote, we had to acknowledge the superiority of Leadax – we congratulate them on the unconventional idea.
