Rotary dryer for even higher production quality

An investment in a plastics dryer with revolutionary rotary honeycomb bed technology can be the key to even better material preparation for processing.

Standard conventional dryers use a system of two beds that take turns to absorb moisture and regenerate themselves. Rawlplug's rotary dryer operates continuously, ensuring a constant dew point and repeatability of the drying process.

The honeycomb technology used in the dryer increases the absorption capacity. This is crucial when drying hygroscopic plastics such as polyamides, of which we are consuming more and more with the growth and diversification of production. At the same time, the machine consumes significantly less energy per kilogram of dried plastic. This is both economically and environmentally beneficial.

Drying in the new dryer takes 3 to 4 hours. During this time, the moisture content of the material is  efficiently lowered. After drying, the material is sent directly to the injection molding machine. This prevents reabsorption of ambient moisture. The process is monitored from start to finish by dedicated systems. This further enhances its efficiency and stability. 

Thanks to this technology, we will be able to produce products of the highest quality and with even better mechanical properties. The new dryer also meets all the critical requirements for the production of 600 ml cartridges. The repeatability of all process steps, which is maintained at the highest level, is extremely important in this context. It translates into production stability and thus the satisfaction of our demanding customers.
