Rawlplug honoured by Polish-Vietnamese Business Forum
We are proud that Rawlplug, as one of three Polish companies, has been recognised for business development confirming active Polish-Vietnamese cooperation. Result: the opening of a production facility and the involvement of the local community in the development of a project of global scale.
The Polish-Vietnamese Business Forum, one of the key events aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between Poland and Vietnam, was held in Warsaw on Friday 17 January 2025. Among the numerous participants - representatives of state authorities and business leaders - there was also a place for Rawlplug, one of three Polish companies taking part in the meeting. Our production facility in Vietnam was represented by Director Krzysztof Woźniak, who in his speech emphasised the importance of Rawlplug's activities for the local community and the company's successes on the international market.
Forum as a platform for future cooperation
The Polish-Vietnamese Business Forum is an event organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the Ministry of Development and Technology of Poland and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam. Participants included Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and Minister Krzysztof Paszyk. The forum brought together more than 150 Polish entrepreneurs and representatives of 30 major Vietnamese companies such as Vietnam Electricity, Vietnam National Chemical Group and Vietnam Airlines.
During the event, the most promising sectors for cooperation were discussed, including chemicals, cosmetics, fuel, automotive and agri-food. Both sides unanimously stressed the strategic importance of Poland as a gateway to the European Union and the growing role of Vietnam as one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia.
Rawlplug - a leader from Vietnam
Rawlplug's production facility in Vietnam (one of the 4 production sites of the Polish company), which became operational in 2020, is the result of a comprehensive and thoughtful investment made during the difficult peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The construction phases included the construction of the plant's infrastructure, the transfer of know-how, the purchase and installation of production machinery, the creation of more than 300 jobs for the local community and the involvement of more than 2,000 people co-operating with the plant. At the same time, the company has built a broad business ecosystem to support the growth of its operations. The smooth execution of the investment, despite challenging global circumstances, is a testament to the determination and professionalism of the Rawlplug team.
Today, the plant is performing impressively: it employs 301 people, works with 37 local suppliers and 2 000 co-operators. Products from the Vietnamese plant go to 28 countries and the entire infrastructure covers an area of 12,900 m², where more than 5,200 different products are manufactured. These results prove that Rawlplug is not only strengthening its position in the region, but also contributing to the local market and economy.
A future full of possibilities: ambitious goals for Rawlplug
Rawlplug is continuously expanding its operations in Vietnam. According to the plan, the company aims to increase its workforce to between 800 and 1,000 people by 2030, further strengthening the local labour market and developing innovative manufacturing solutions. Achieving these goals is part of a strategy of long-term growth and cross-cultural cooperation.
Sustainability and awards
Rawlplug has emphasised sustainable operations for many years. Our presence in Vietnam is not only about investing in production, but also about long-term support for the local community. Last year, the company was awarded the prestigious HR Asia - Best Companies to Work for in Asia. This award, chosen in surveys by employees themselves, highlights the company's excellent work culture and commitment to creating an environment conducive to talent development. During a gala ceremony in Vietnam, the statuette was received on behalf of the company by Krzysztof Woźniak - you can read an account of the event in the HR Asia. Rawlplug's participation in the Polish-Vietnamese Business Forum provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our achievements and further build business relationships. Our commitment to the local community, impressive results and international accolades are proof that Rawlplug's strategy is delivering tangible benefits both locally and globally. We are delighted to have been part of this important event and look forward to continuing to work with our partners in Vietnam.
