S7 Mława–Strzegowo section
The S7 expressway investment project is based on the premises that not only is it going to be the longest expressway in Poland, but also one of the most significant routes. We are glad to have contributed to the development of its subsequent section.
Budowa drogi ekspresowej S7 to nie tylko milowy krok w modernizacji infrastruktury drogowej całego kraju, ale przede wszystkim olbrzymie udogodnienie dla kierowców często podróżujących między północną i południową częścią Polski. Docelowe 706 km trasy Gdańsk – Rabka-Zdrój ma zrewolucjonizować połączenia między dużymi aglomeracjami (przy okazji redukując ruch na już istniejących drogach krajowych) oraz przyspieszyć rozwój i zwiększyć atrakcyjność inwestycyjną dotychczas mniej dostępnych regionów.
Wspomniany odcinek Mława – Strzegowo (fragment większego fragmentu Olsztynek – Płońsk) znajduje się w województwie mazowieckim, w powiecie mławskim, na terenach należących do gmin: Szydłowo, miasto Mława, Wiśniewo, Stupsk, Strzegowo. Drogę poprowadzono w nowym korytarzu, po wschodniej stronie istniejącej już DK7.
Once all the necessary permits had been procured at the end of 2019, the prestigious investment project (the total value of the contract amounted to PLN 446,164,736.81, including the EU funding of PLN 1,043,836,933.77) continued at lightning speed. Only two years later, the contractor comprising a consortium of PORR S.A. and PORR Bau GmbH, rendered the main carriageways to traffic on a temporary basis, and all the work was completed in December 2022.
We are glad that the contractor of an investment that was so demanding in terms of safety and quality decided to reach out for Rawlplug’s products, which had proved their reliability under similar projects. The footpath slabs and protective screens along the aforementioned section of the S7 expressway have been anchored using the R-KEX II high-quality epoxy resin-based bonded anchors along with the R-STUDS rods.
