Prototypes, new products, and ever-growing market demand – they all make the engineering of new injection moulds on a regular basis a necessity for Rawlplug’s HQ.

In order to meet specific expectations and complete the orders incoming from all over the world, we have to respond instantaneously.

Piotr Holweg

Head of Rawlplug’s Construction Department and Tool Shop

One of the tasks of the Tool Shop (and the Repair Shop responsible for injection mould repairs) is to prevent a situation in which the Injection Moulding Plant delivers fewer cartridges than can potentially be filled by the Mixing and Filling Department, given its enormous capacity

In fact, the process works similarly for our other products, including plastic fixings. That is why we collaborate closely with other company divisions on a daily basis, including with the R&D Department, which provides us with demand data and develops the required design documentation for us. Our job, in such cases, is to build a double mould, a mould with an increased number of cavities, one that allows us to manufacture a larger number of fixings, or a prototype mould for completely new products.
