Testing of fixings on site – R-HLX concrete screws

On-site fixing tests using a professional pull-out tester are one of the best ways to achieve 100% certainty regarding the strength of a selected or considered fixing. Today, we present a test of our last year’s new addition – the R-HLX concrete screws.

The pull-out tester was used to assess the strength and proper selection of fixings for balustrades in a concrete slab. The R-HLX concrete screw is specifically designed for such applications, so it passed the demanding test flawlessly.

On-site, we encountered a very interesting situation – at the front edge of the balcony, there was a 60 mm layer of aerated concrete bonded to a 30 mm thick concrete layer, with a void right behind them. Our key product, the R-HLX mechanical anchor, performs exceptionally well even in such unconventional substrates – as confirmed by the test photos.

R-HLX Concrete Screw

The R-HLX concrete screw is an innovative solution with versatile applications in construction and industry. Its newly designed thread, featuring additional cutting teeth, ensures quick and easy installation, even in reinforced concrete. The screw offers fire resistance in R30–R120 classes and is suitable for seismic zones C1 and C2. Its zinc flake coating provides corrosion resistance in C1–C4 environments. The screw's design allows for installation close to concrete edges and at short distances from other screws. It is specifically engineered to enable direct drilling and installation through the mounted element.

The R-HLX concrete screw is ideal for securing posts and road signs, road and bridge structures, plumbing and gas installations, scaffolding, seating in public venues, steel structures, and warehouse racking systems. It can be used in both cracked and non-cracked concrete (C20/25–C50/60), reinforced and non-reinforced concrete, as well as natural stone. Combining reliability, durability, and versatility, this product is the perfect solution for even the most demanding applications.
