Cooling towers are advanced structures essential for maintaining optimal temperatures in large industrial facilities, such as power plants. Their primary function is to efficiently manage temperature through the continuous recycling of water in cooling cycles, which significantly boosts operational efficiency and helps conserve resources.

The role of professional anchoring systems
In the construction of cooling towers, the use of appropriate anchoring systems is of paramount importance. Both chemical and mechanical anchors play a crucial role in ensuring the stability of the structure, particularly under demanding operational conditions.
Chemical anchors, especially epoxy resins, are ideal for application in wet or water-filled substrates. Certified for use with threaded rods in cracked and non-cracked concrete, they offer durability of up to 100 years. Their high chemical resistance makes them the perfect solution for industrial and marine environments. Mechanical anchors, especially throughbolts, in addition to their robustness, feature simple through-installation. They provide high load-bearing capacity in non-cracked concrete, confirmed by ETA approval, and the option for reduced embedment minimizes the risk of contact with reinforcement.
Properly selected products prevent displacement and vibrations that could negatively affect cooling efficiency, especially in areas with increased seismic activity.
Our products and their use in the project
Our R-KEX-II epoxy bonded anchors, along with M12, M20, and M24 threaded rods made of SS316 stainless steel, played a crucial role in stabilizing the cooling towers. They were used in critical areas, providing a strong connection between the tower components and its foundation or structural base.
Thanks to the use of chemical anchors and threaded rods, the tower was effectively secured against unwanted movement, ensuring the structure's stability during operation. The durability of these products minimizes the risk of damage caused by dynamic loads, contributing to the long-term reliability of the entire object.
The R-XPTIIA4-10115/35 throughbolts were used for:
- fastening structural components, such as the fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) casing and basins,
- installation and precise positioning of tower modules using lifting lugs, which provided attachment points for cranes and hoists, allowing for safe handling and proper placement of the tower sections,
- securing pipes, ladders, grating, and other structural elements of the tower.
Thanks to their resistance to moisture, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations, our products once again proved ideal for a project exposed to extreme operating conditions.
